Greetings Postcard Pals. Below are some of the standout postcards I have received from my generous postcard friends.

I've also included some I've sent myself from significant or interesting locations or just bought for fun. All my postcards are uploaded to my Flickr.

You'll see I also enjoy fancy stamps too. Want to trade? Read on.

Qatar, Doha

Qatar - Souk

My first visit to this intriguing country. Tracking down stamps and postcards was quite the task. Coincidently the only post box and vendor I could find was right near the flag you see in this postcard of the Souq Waqif

ABOUT DOHA, QATAR

Doha, the capital city of Qatar, is a modern metropolis that seamlessly blends traditional Arabian culture with sleek, contemporary architecture. Located on the eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, Doha has transformed itself from a small fishing village into a thriving city, driven by Qatar's vast oil and gas reserves.

The city's skyline is dominated by the majestic Burj Doha, a 46-story skyscraper that showcases the country's engineering prowess. The iconic Museum of Islamic Art, designed by I.M. Pei, is another architectural masterpiece that houses an impressive collection of Islamic artefacts.

Doha's cultural scene is vibrant, with numerous festivals and events celebrating Qatari heritage, music, and art. The city is also home to the prestigious Education City, a hub of international universities and research institutions.

As the host of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Doha has invested heavily in infrastructure development, including state-of-the-art stadiums, hotels, and transportation systems.
