Jordan - UNESCO

Petra Jordan

Jordan, located in the heart of the Middle East, is a country rich in history and culture. Home to ancient sites like Petra and the Dead Sea, it offers diverse landscapes from deserts to fertile valleys.

I visited Jordan in 2013 and wrote this story:

The Bay of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a jewel of the Adriatic. Montenegro offers adventure, relaxation, and a vibrant mix of old and new.

Ohrid Macedonia UNESCO

Ohrid - Macedonia

This fabulous card received from my colleague Angela while on assignment in Macedonia. Another country I have only visited vicariously via my well-travelled friends.

The Lake Ohrid region, a mixed World Heritage property covering c. 94,729 ha, was first inscribed for its nature conservation values in 1979 and for its cultural heritage values a year later.
