You can't go to Dubai without visiting the world's tallest building. I finally made it, and here is my postcard mailed as proof from the gift shop at the top. Plus, here are some other cards received and sent over the years.
The world's tallest building is the Burj Khalifa, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It stands at an incredible 828 meters (2,717 feet) tall, with 163 floors plus two below-ground levels ¹. Completed in 2010, this megastructure was designed by the American architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.
The Burj Khalifa holds several world records, including the highest occupied floor, highest outdoor observation deck, elevator with the longest travel distance, and the tallest freestanding structure in the world ¹. Its design is inspired by Islamic architecture and is a symbol of Dubai's engineering prowess and architectural innovation.
The building serves as a mixed-use development, featuring residential, commercial, and entertainment spaces. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the city from its observation decks, At the Top and At the Top Sky.
